Anyone who knows me or has seen any of my life dj sets knows how much i love to mash up dubstep, crunk, grime and hip hop. Some artists like WAVlength regular CL Moons, have dubbed this movement, Thugstep, taking the gangsta, and thuggish elements of hip hop and plastering them over the dark beats of the UK. This projects seems like a natural progression. Many dubstep producers have been given access to many Wu accapellas and have been asked to craft together this project. With artists like Snoop, Eve and other having already dabbled in dubstep it only seems inevitable that more hip hop artists will have their own take on the subculture.
My man Sven, half Error Broadcast, put out this tape which features unreleased & maybe upcoming sounds from the EB roster & others!
Keep an eye on this new label because from what I’ve been offered to listen, the future releases gonna be massives!
On a side note, it has been a year since I started artworking & this artwork originally titled ‘Dante’s Inferno (Limbo Version)’ is the 1st of my 2nd season!

I dont usually post my own productions on here, im a rapper first anyways…but sert told me to put this up so complain to him if you dont like it. But yeah, go download it and stuff
Slaughterhouse are a force to be reckoned with, bring in some MOP hype duties over them doing their thing and you have a banger on your hands. The album which drops August should be healthy.
This is some exclusive shit by the way…in there before all the other blogs, holler
Alchemist is one of the greatest producers doing it, this is music for spaceships. This new track featuring Three 6 Mafia & Juvenile is off his new album Chemical Warfare, out July 7th
Just got this in my inbox this morning from my man CL Moons asking for some accompanying artwork (see above). A Sick dubstep remix of The Maccabees single “Love You Better”, crazy drops on this one, mashing up crunk with trance style chops and reggae soaked vocals make up a tune!
CL told me this track was for CL, which is weird cause i thought he was CL, the mystery of this man (i assume they are a dude, i could be wrong) grows with every track. Keep your eyes and ears peeled for more from Moons.
Unheard, brand new, world premier ~ L Dot Man goes in over the Skinnyman Ballistic Affairs beat produced by Show N Prove, from the forthcoming L Dot Man mixtape/album.
OK, just re-read the title. i know, crazy right? This is a track for the forth coming album from Mos Def, which was supposed to be released in just a few days time on June 9th, but Downtown Records have pushed it back for another two months, you’d think things couldn’t possibly get worse for Mos. You’d be wrong, unfortunately the full album leaked online today. This means those waiting on this dropping will probably get their fix now before its actually released, which is a shame. I wonder will Mos stay on Downtown after this?
The album features a lot of production from Stones Throw artists such as Madlib, Oh No, and J Dilla. I wonder if it had of been released on Stones Throw would it have be on date? Not that they have the greatest track record on keeping releases on date, but paper work on their own artists may have been quicker? Another strange feature is that most of the beats from the Stones Throw camp have been released before, which opens the debate on re-using beats that have already been released and paid for.
Least we forget the amazing verse from the legend that is Slick Rick, seems like an odd choice but when you hear it, it just feels right, SlickLib or MadRick perhaps? Just playin, but he defiantly shines on this.
An oldie but a goodie, no one does that Miami thug stuff better than Trick Daddy. Trick Daddy never really broke much ground on the mainstream but he has put out seven albums in his career and keeps grinding. This track is pounding and the marching band brings everything to life, the other features on this track pale in comparison to Tricks opening verse.
